'Clash of Clans' Latest News & Update: Supercell Officially Confirms Massive December 2016 Update

Supercell, the developer of the popular online strategy game "Clash of Clans," has confirmed the rumors pertaining to the huge December 2016 update. According to Supercell, "Clash of Clans" will indeed roll out new features including new heroes, new battle features, a host of sea-themed characters, and a water-based base.

In preparation for "Clash of Clans" December 2016 update, Supercell announced that the game will receive its first major patch on November 16, 2016. According to numerous online reports, the December 2016 update will introduce the rumored sea-themed creatures, the Red Barbarian King, the new battle feature for "wizard vs goblin," and the water-based base called the "shipwreck."

In addition to these new features, gamers can also expect a makeover for the old characters from "Clash of Clans." According toMobipicker, the "Clash of Clans" December 2016 update will also bring new levels and upgrades for multi-target and single target air defenses for Town Hall 11.

A few days ahead of Supercell's confirmation, numerous speculations have been circulating within the online gaming community. Rumors have it that the Red Barbarian King will be bundled with the Red Archer Queen and can be purchased for a yet to be specified price. Speculations also point to water-creatures such as mermaids to make their first appearance in "Clash of Clans" during the December update. This water-based feature is entirely new to "Clash of Clans" as the game is focused mostly on ground-based and air-based characters.

Also pegged to make its debut during the December update of "Clash of Clans" is the new setting that will allow players to repair ships in exchange for coins and extra gems. According to a report from All Clash, the Shipwreck is like the clan castle and can be repaired for 50, 000 gold starting at Town Hall 4.

Since Supercell only confirmed the upcoming December 2016 update, the new features to be introduced are still speculations up to this point. Also, Supercell has yet to confirm the official release date for "Clash of Clans" December 2016 update, reports suggest that the update will likely occur on December 1.
