How and When Did Ryan Reynolds Realize That Blake Lively Was “The One?” Reynolds Reveals It Was After The Sex

Behind the wisecracking anti-hero superhero "Deadpool", Ryan Reynolds, is a romantic. In a recent interview, the 40-year old actor was asked about how he knew that wife Blake Lively was "the one." Reynolds joked it was "Probably after the sex."

Speaking with GQ, "Deadpool" star Ryan Reynolds recounted how his romance with the 29-year-old Blake Lively started. According to Reynolds, they were hanging out at a restaurant in Tribeca, New York and he asked Lively to dance. "No one was in there, so it was just totally empty. And it was just one of those moments where halfway through the dance, it was like, 'Oh, I think I just crossed a line,'" Reynolds said.

And the rest was history. Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have been married for four years now and have two daughters. The Canada-born Reynolds insists that "Every idiotic Hallmark-card cliché is true," referring to having a "real American family."

Ryan Reynolds has an upcoming movie titled "Life" which is also penned by "Deadpool" writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. The movie "Life" will see Ryan Reynolds co-starring with real-life friend Jake Gyllenhaal. "Life" takes place in the International Space Station wherein the Reynolds discover a form of extraterrestrial life.

And speaking of "Deadpool," Reynolds reveals that "Deadpool 2" has already been written. According to Cinema Blend "Deadpool 2" is already in the works. However, Reynolds admits that he has a minor nervous breakdown after filming the first "Deadpool" movie, and every doctor he's seen said it was anxiety.

That being the case, Reynolds is lucky that he has a supportive wife. The actor revealed to Entertainment Today the sweetest thing he's ever done for his wife. "Deadpool" in the film may be a hard case, Reynolds in real life errs to this side of romanticism. And the romantic overtures still continue from that first dance at Tribeca.
