‘Resident Evil: The Final Chapter' News & Updates: Final Poster For Finale Of the Video Game Film Franchise Was Released

Screen Gems has released the final poster of "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter." This will be 6th and final movie of the "Resident Evil" franchise.

The final movie is set after the events of "Resident Evil: Retribution" where Alice became the sole survivor on the final stand against the undead. Alice will return to The Hive where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final battle against the only remaining survivor of the apocalypse, Coming Soon reported.

The movie is based on a video game of the same name from developer Capcom. It is the most successful video game film franchise, grossing over $1 billion.

The movie will showcase old stars from the franchise. Fans will see the return of Milla Jovovich in "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter."

"Resident Evil: Extinction" and "Game Of Thrones" actor Claire Redfield will return for the final film. Shawn Roberts and Ian Glen from "Resident Evil: Extinction" will also return.

The final movie is produced by Jeremy Bolt, Paul W.S. Anderson, Robert Kulzer and Samuel Hedida. It's executive producers are Martin Moszkowicz from Constantin Film and Victor Hadida from Metropolitan Films.

According to Den of Geek, there will be new characters on the show. "Orange Is The New Black" actor Ruby Rose, "The Night Shift" actor Eion Macken, Actor William Levy, "Law & Order: UK" actor Fraser James and Japanese model Rola will be part of the star-studded cast.

Just recently, the show released its first trailer which is bloodier than ever. The trailer also showed tha Dr. Isaac and Alice will meet face to face in the final sequel.

Jobs & Hire reported that the shooting for "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" begun on July in South Africa. During filming Mila Jovovich's stung double Olivia Jackson met an accident during filming that leaved her in coma for two weeks.

The 47-seconds trailer was first released in Japan. "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" will hit theaters on January 27, 2017.
