"Clash of Clans" the hit mobile game that took the world by storm is teaming up with Apple to fight the deadly disease AIDS.

As reported by GottaBeMOBILE, apart from the huge update to the game coming next week, it received a different kind of update yesterday that is aimed to support a good cause. Apple is working with SuperCell, the developers of "Clash of Clans," in an effort to raise funds to help fight against AIDS.

Recently, both Apple and Supercell announced that the two have partnered together against the disease as the American tech-giant launched its annual Worlds AIDS Day.

Each year, Apple joins up with RED to help against the disease and this year, it added another player to the list. This week, "Clash of Clans," in addition to "Boom Beach" and "Hay Day" players can make an in-app purchases with 100 percent of the proceeds going towards the Global Funds to fight AIDS.

International Business Times reported that players can buy RED pile of gems on the in-game shop to contribute and it will be available to players until 8:00 a.m. Dec. 4.

But of course, this is just optional as games like "Clash of Clans" can be enjoyed without really spending any money. However, buying these gems not only support the game and its developers, it also now helps those affected with this deadly disease as well.

In addition, to raise effort in raising funds for RED, Supercell also added in-game decorations and diamonds that can be purchased as well. It's also interesting to note that the company is the only one that will donate 100 percent of the proceeds to the foundation.

In a report by Game Politics, Supercell makes millions on its wide range of mobile games, so it's easy to see why it chose to give something back.

But if you don't play the game, you can still help both Apple and RED in its fight against AIDS.By simply buying a special edition RED Apple Watch band, iPhone 6s cases, iPad Magic covers and accessories, you can now proudly declare your contribution while also getting a cool accessory in return.

This is not the first time that Apple and RED teamed up. If fans may recall, about 9 years ago, Apple released a limited edition RED iPod Nano to show its support.

Lastly, bear in mind that this "Clash of Clan" update is only available in iOS.
