Google is back with the fourth Android Wear 2.0 Developer with new and improved features. There is now more phone to watch communications, an in-app billing and an easier sign-in.The old swipe-dismiss gesture in Wear 1.0 is also back.

Tech Times says that the most notable new feature in Android Wear 2.0 is the newly added support for one-click Google sign-in, allowing for a seamless and hassle free authentication. This feature will be available on Android Wear for both Android and iOS.

Google added a new OAuth API which allows the watch to open an authentication screen on the phone, so standalone apps can sign in. APIs allow watch apps to connect to the phone apps. It also enables you to browse the Google Play store and install watch apps without putting anything on your phone.

There is a change from the auto-install in Wear 1.0. When you download an app in Wear 2.0 Developer Preview # 4, you will now be asked for your permission if you choose to install it or not.Users have the option to choose what apps they want on their Wear watch. All apps on your phone don't have to be on your watch too.

Instead of pressing the button, just do the swipe-dismiss gesture. You can also install legacy apps on your devices because Google added Android Wear 1.0 apps support to the fourth Android Wear 2.0 developer preview. Using your Wear Watch, you can now make in -app billing and purchases.

Android Wear 2.0 will be available to the public next year. The delay from Fall 2016 to 2017 was due failed beta tests. According to PC World, Google decided to delay Wear 2.0 because Android Wear and smartwatches sales are sinking. Google needs to make a huge improvement on their watches to create a big market for Wear Watches.
