George Clooney's best pal and business partner Rande Gerber shared his top 7 business secrets. The two entrepreneurs recently launched their tequila business, Casamigos.
Speaking to Entrepreneur, George Clooney's best friend Rande Gerber revealed how their business started. "George and I had been traveling south of the border for a year and drinking a lot of tequila," he said, "trying different ones, and there hadn't been anything that was perfect, so we said, 'Why don't we just make our own?'"
Initially, Casamigos was only Clooney and Gerber's private house tequila. They served it exclusively to their friends and family.
Oprah Winfrey has admitted that it is her "favorite tequila" describing it to be "as smooth as George Clooney." Comedian Stephen Colbert also had a shot of Casamigos with "50 Shades of Grey" actress Dakota Johnson on his show.
George Clooney's best pal, who is also Cindy Crawford's husband, talked about his top 7 business secrets. First, leaders have got to train employees well to be able to advance their career but also treat them with utmost respect so that they won't want to leave.
Second, collaborate with your team. "I don't have my own office. We have a big loft space, so everyone works out in the open, myself included," he added.
Rande Gerber also admitted that he usually looks at personality over experience when hiring employees. Moreover, he advised about knowing one's strengths and weaknesses and, afterwards, hire the right people to teach you.
Fifth, business owners should allow employees to pursue their passions. Next, your product's "quality has to shine through" and you have to "be authentically passionate about it."
Lastly, Gerber urges entrepreneurs to "go out and make it happen." You can try out different things and "never stop trying."
According to My Steinbach, race car driver and Niverville native David Richert has recently partnered with George Clooney and Rande Gerber's Casamigos brand for several events. This includes a race at the Monaco Grand Prix weekend.
