Frank Ocean’s New Album Was A Lie: ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ Not Happening

It has been a long time since Frank Ocean has released his own music. After dropping "Channel Orange," fans are looking at the artist to drop his new album titled "Boys Don't Cry."

But Frank Ocean's new album has always been a mystery. Until recently, Twitter was sure that "Boys Don't Cry" will be released this Friday (June 3). Fans have been waiting for the artist to release his much awaited album. But there was no album on that day.

It was all a lie, according to Bustle. The promise of "Boys Don't Cry" was back in July 2015 when Frank posted the release date on the album's official website. It was a Twitter account named "Snatched Bops" that started all the hustle. On June 1, a post indicated a very convincing tweet that Frank Ocean's new album will be out on June 3. "Frank Ocean's new album is OFFICIALLY dropping this Friday (June 3rd) - GET READY!" - was the post. However, Complex found that it was a fake Twitter account.

Though the rumors were untrue, fans cannot be deterred. Loyal followers of the artist still patiently wait for the new album to be dropped. Previously, Chance the Rapper praised the upcoming album. "It's going to be a "masterpiece", says Chance the Rapper. It wasn't clear if Chance was talking about the actual album or that he felt it in his gut that it was going to be great. Even Adele had something to say about it. "I'm just *** waiting for Frank *** Ocean to come out with his album," Adele shared.

Needless to say, fans have been constantly teased of the release. Ever since there was a rumored leak from a VIP event, earlier this year, fans have been hungry for information. But they will not be deterred.
