Lamar Odom Checks Himself Into Rehab Voluntarily For Kids, Estranged Wife 'KUWTK' Star Khloe Kardashian's Earlier Plea Now Pays Off

The former Lakers player seeks treatment at a rehab facility recently near San Diego, California. He decides on rehabilitating himself voluntarily to stay sober and making sure that he is on the right path of life. This is something that he chooses to do for himself and for his loved ones.

The decision is like Odom's New Year's resolution. He basically did it for the kids and to feel 100% okay again. "did it for his kids" and "also wanted to feel 100 percent again. He has since recovered from a drug overdose at a legal brothel in Nevada after being found unconscious last October 2015, US Weekly

It seems that his near death experience has opened his eyes how fragile life is. This realization came after he was placed into an induced coma for more than half a month. He was first rushed to a nearby hospital and airlifted to Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai, He admits that he got scared with the half dead state. He was like being trapped in his body - and when tapped by the Keeping Up With the Kardashians show, he cannot even respond properly.

His estranged wife KUWTK star Khloe Kardashian set aside their divorce papers to oversee medical arrangements after the overdose. She assisted with his recovery. She later filed again in May - and the divorce was finalized last December 10, three years after the couple split physically. Both have moved on since then, according to an earlier post of Jobs & Hire.

The finality of his divorce from Khloe Kardashian and the holidays coming up, Odom vowed to take care of himself. He really aspired to be a better person with the help of his friends and family. He has learned after almost dying due to a three-day cocaine session combined with sexual enhancement substances.
