Google Nexus 9 Gets Lost In The Crowd; Is Nexus 7 IThe Culprit For Gear's Demise?

Google's Nexus 9 is losing its touch as its release date has been pushed back owing to the rising speculations surrounding the forthcoming release of Nexus 7. Also, it appears that the Nexus 9 is lost in the crowd and the Nexus 7 is the noted culprit behind the gear's demise on the market.

Google has sounded the death knell for 2014's Nexus 9, confirming that no more units of the HTC-built tablet will be produced and the company's decision to draw a line under the Nexus 9 comes just days after the firm announced the discontinuation of the Nexus Player, Google's attempt at making a streaming box in the style of Apple TV and other consumer-grade favourites, reports The Inquirer.

Google also discontinued its Nexus 6 smartphone, which was launched along with the Nexus 9 in 2014, in December 2015 which was replaced by the Nexus 6P, which launched alongside the Nexus 5X in late 2015 and when the dust settles on the Nexus 9 withdrawal, Google will effectively be left with no current front-line tablets besides the Pixel C, which was also launched in late 2015, according to the same post.

It seems that Google has been dominantly changing its tactics for the release of its products. For one, a former post from Jobs & Hire has revealed that the Nexus 7 2016 was a bit disappointing for those that have been expecting the device to appear in Google I/O event and also, not only the Nexus 7 2016 but even the Android N failed to make an appearance as well.

On a different note, it remains uncertain on whether Google would change its mind and release the Nexus 9 back into the crowd or not. Along that line, it remains unsettled on whether Google prioritized Nexus 7 over the Nexus 9 since the tech giant remained tight lipped on the matter even for now.
