‘Clash of Clans’ Latest News: December 2016 Update Going Live After Product RED Event on December 6! Shipwreck Confirmed! VR Feature Included?

If there is smoke, there is fire. After weeks of speculations, the "Clash of Clans" December 2016 update is expected to finally go live on December 6 after the Product RED Event. The patch introduces the new feature "Shipwreck." However, there is no word whether the VR feature is included.

According to a report from the website ALL CLASH, Apple's Product RED event started at the same time like every other year. It has been reported that the Barbarian King statue, adorned with red markings, has been seen in some villages. The rumored Red Barbarian King decoration surfaced weeks ago and has been reported to be included in the supposedly massive December 2016 Update for "Clash of Clans."

According to a report from Jobs & Hire, the Shipwreck is a water-based base which can be repaired for 50, 000 gold starting at Town Hall 4. Now that the Shipwreck feature is all but confirmed, "Clash of Clans" players can look forward to earning more gold with every ship they repair.

It is interesting to note that the Shipwreck and the Red Barbarian King statue are part of the rumors that started sprouting since after the "Clash of Clans" Halloween event. Along with the Shipwreck and the Red King decoration, also expected to come with the December 2016 update are the wizard-vs-goblin feature, a host of sea-themed creatures including mermaids, pirates, submarines and underwater missiles, and a virtual reality (VR) feature.

However, aside from the animated series "Clash-A-Rama," Supercell has yet to confirm the rumors surrounding the December Event. Supercell confirmed that full episodes of "Clash-A-Rama" would be aired in starting in December. The animated series will feature characters from the games "Clash of Clans" and "Clash Royal."

Another report from Jobs & Hire suggests that Supercell will soon introduce a VR feature to "Clash of Clans." Technical issues aside, the VR feature will be a huge boost to the "CoC" since the game "Pokemon GO," currently the number one mobile game app in the market, is already running on an augmented-reality platform.

After numerous false starts, fans are starting to speculate that the December 2016 update is in danger of being moved to January 2017. The report suggests that Supercell is probably having difficulties in incorporating certain features to the game.

That said, the latest report from All Clash indicates that the December 2016 Update usually comes after the RED Event. In turn, "Clash of Clans" players can expect the December patch to go live from December 6 onwards, and the Shipwreck with it. Since the rumors of the Shipwreck and the RED King are all but confirmed, Supercell provides fans a glimmer of hope that the VR feature, the Red Barbarian King, the sea-themed creatures, and the battle feature are also arriving this December. These are surely exciting times for "Clash of Clans" gamers.
