NBA Trade Rumors: Joel Embiid and Nerlens Noel Trade Scenarios; Lakers And Knicks Are Possible Destinations For Either 76ers Big Man

The Philadelphia 76ers has been in the rumor mill since the start of the 2016-2017 NBA season due to its crowded frontcourt lineup. However, as the season progresses it became clear that the franchise will have to trade Nerlens Noel upon his return. But with Joel Embiid's recent injury, it appears new NBA trade rumors have surfaced once more.

ESPN reported that Noel had knee surgery on Oct. 24 and has been involved in NBA trade rumors since then. He has been expressing his sentiments about the 76ers roster having too many centers which led to speculations that the big man wants to be traded.

However, Noel recently made a season debut, came back in a Sunday game against the Detroit Pistons and showed everyone that he is healthy. Meanwhile, Embiid sat the game out due to an elbow inflammation. Now, there are NBA trade rumors spreading that the Sixers could trade either player.

The Sixers are still trying to figure out whom it would trade but the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks are possible destinations for these two big men according to some NBA trade rumors. The Lakers and Knicks have solid backcourt players to offer to the Sixers.

According to Fan Sided, Noel would be a good fit for the Knicks who could play as a rim protector alongside Kristaps Porzingis. The Knicks have always been poor defenders and they could utilize a shot-blocking big man in the likes of Noel. Embiid is also a good defender but he wouldn't complement Porzingis' style of play.

NBA trade rumors also have it that the Lakers might trade one of its players according to the Inquistr. It would be good for the Lakers to trade for a big man in the likes of Embiid and Noel but between the two, Embiid would be a better fit. He can stretch out the court and open up lanes for D'Angelo Russel and Jordan Clarkson.

It isn't clear yet whom the Sixers would trade but these NBA trade rumors would be cleared up once the trade market opens. For now, fans just need to wait and see what would happen in the following weeks.
