Human Activity Affecting The Process Of Evolution

Evolution as we all know is a slow process of waiting. It takes time for the species to adapt and mold to its perfect form and condition. However, the process should be slow and steady as sometimes it could take millions of years for the evolution to take place. But recently, it seems that the process is moving in faster pace than many expect it to be.
Species today from plants to animals have been moving in a more unusual faster pace than it actually should be. Much of it has to do with human activity and the environment that keeps changing the way animals and plants adapt.
According to iTech Post, there are three key areas in the study which was provided. These are commercial fishing, invasive species and urbanization. As humans population increases more habitats of plants and animal species are being disturbed resulting to adaptation and a more faster process of evolution that takes place.
The increase of cities and infrastructures in different locations make the animals and plants adapt to the environment even though it was not really meant for them but because of the speedy pace of urbanization they have left with no choice but to adapt to it. One example would be about plants, as plants produce less seeds due to the lack of soil in the area.
According to Science Daily, plants and animal species adapt to the current human development that is taking place. The changes are moving in a much faster pace before our very own eyes as animal and plants species are adapting to the climate and the environment surrounding it.
As a conclusion evolution is happening at a faster pace as we know it. Put it this way as human progess continuous from the irrigations to the infrastructures same way the animals and plants will adapt to the change of environment.
